Thursday Three
Good morning! Today, I'm going to share three quotes that I've had front and centre at my desk in my home office for the last little while. They serve as good reminders of how I want to live, and who I would like to try to be.
"He has the power to render us happy, or unhappy; to make our service light or burdensome; a pleasure or a toil... The happiness he gives us is quite as great as if it cost a fortune" - Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol (Scrooge talking about his old boss Fezziwig)
"The proper function of man is not to exist, but to live. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time." - Jack London
"My future seemed to stretch out before me like a straight road. I thought I could see along it for many a milestone. Now there's a bend in it. I don't know what lies around the bend, but I'm going to believe that the best does." - LM Montgomery (Anne of Green Gables)
